The Winds Are Blowing In Our Direction

The American voters continue to signal that they are tired of politics as usual and are ready to kick the establishment to the curb.

WICHITA, KS-
In last night's primaries, there was a common theme, "No More of The Same!" Interestingly, even on the Democrat side, the challengers were using the same message, and in most cases, they worked. Bottom line, most Americans regardless of party, are sick and tired of politics as usual. By the end of the evening, I can proudly say that the country will be much better off without the likes of Arlen Spector. I still believe that the message of conservatism will prove victorious at the polls in November.

The race that I was watching most closely involved Rand Paul, the son of well-respected congressman Ron Paul. In a race that was supposed to be close, this was a primary of the American message, the Tea Party message, against the establishment. In a state where the most well known Republican, senate minority leader Mitch McConnell, campaigns in full force for Trey Grayson and he suffers an overwhelming loss, it sends a message that if anybody linked to the establishment supports you, you will be painted with the same brush.

The overwhelming vote of confidence for Rand Paul continues to support what I have said from the beginning of this campaign. This is not about one man, which Paul was clear to point out last night, but rather about a message. When combined with what we have seen in New Jersey, Virginia, and elsewhere, this sends a strong message that it is not about money and how many lobbyists you know, it is not about how much pork you can send back to the district; quite the opposite in fact. To paraphrase Paul's message, "we have come to take our government back," and I could not agree more.

For those candidates like myself that stand against the same old politics handcuffed to the establishment, the winds of liberty-based change are blowing in our direction.
